HOLLOW STRUCTURAL SECTIONS DESIGN SEMINAR

The October 3rd HSS Design seminar was a success, thanks to the flurry of late registrations.  Those in attendance got a lot of good design information from Dr. Donald Sherman, member of the AISC Specification Committee and chairman of the Task Committee on Structural Tubing.  4 PDHs were awarded to all participants and the HSS Connections Manual was also provided at a significant discount.

VERMONT ENGINEERS START TO ORGANIZE A STRUCTURAL GROUP

Richard Dall, P.E. of Durbrow Associates, Inc. has been in contact with SENH and is attempting to organize a statewide structural organization in Vermont.  Mr. Dall attended the New England Structural Engineering meeting at WPI in May of this year where I had the good fortune to meet him.  Emile Troup, P.E. has been playing a large role in organizing all of the New England states.

Sincerely,

Dennis LaBombard, P.E.
